Windows roaming profiles not updating
M$'s roaming profiles on w2k/xp seem pretty buggy to me (or is samba the problem, i dont know? I'm using it myself on about 500 clients and am kicking myself for doing this every day!

We have been using xenapp 6.5 (servers booted from provisioning server) with UPM for a while now.
All of the sudden new profiles are not being saved.
) 4) If you have the profile saved on your dc (if you don't, in windows, go to profiles and use the copy function to copy to your server's profile dir, then delete it there), delete the c:\doc and...\user dir in windows and log in again so it is re-copied to the client.
5) make sure the profile is owned by the user and that he's got correct permissions to the profile share.

I'm having a hard time finding any instructions on line on how best to do this, but this method I used seemed to work.When this new user loges on to a Windows XP client a new profile is created for this user on the local machine.The profile on the local machine is marked as Roaming (Type= Roaming, Status=Roaming) When the new user log of form the Windows XP client the user is not ...Here was the issue: we have a user who was getting an "unable to load your roaming profile" type of error at logon in Windows 2008.Looking at the server, we could see her temp profile listed in the profile list while she was loggged (listed as a "temporary" and not a "roaming" profile).
